G’day I’m Sarah, and I’m the wife of a dump truck operator that works nighties. I have seen first hand how quickly someones health can decline just by the hours that they work. I’m passionate about creating healthy habits and using nutritional therapy to support individuals health journeys in a holistic way. I genuinely want to help lower the amount of preventable disease in Australia.

Through my studies I have learnt that the overworked industries are more susceptible to declining health. Our nurses, doctors, paramedics, security guards, miners, truck drivers, fire fighters, defence force and process workers are among those that put their health at risk by working the dog watch, but someone’s got to do it right? By supporting these Australians to live healthier lives, it is my way of connecting back to my local community.

My community is the Maitland and Hunter Valley region in NSW. Everyone knows someone that’s a coal miner. It is the functional economic platform that holds the Hunter Valley region together. So shift workers I’m here to support your wellness. Don’t let your health suffer for the role that you play in the industry.

On a side note, I am also one of the founding directors of Nutrition Education Program, a primary school based education program in the Newcastle, Hunter and surrounding regions. This is a 3 week program designed for NSW schools to educate children about the importance of nutrition for the human body.

WHAT PEOPLE SAY

Sarah has been so helpful with my nutrition journey to understanding what my body needs. She is able to work around not only what my body needs but what my lifestyle and time constraints require. She is amazing! She has so much helpful information! She has suggestions for every hurdle I think of proving that there’s always a way.

Margaret MacCormack

Today I had my initial consultation with Sarah, who was amazing to work with, gave me fantastic feedback and a plan that I look forward to implementing straight away.

Chantelle Laucht

I worked with Sarah teaching Indonesian High School children about nutrition and healthcare and she really helped them get a deeper understanding of what food can do for their health, how it actually helps with prevention and why they should pay attention to their diet. And despite their “very basic” English skills we could tell the kids had learned a lot by the end of each week. (She taught me some facts as well and really impressed me with her overall knowledge!)

Kind words from a happy crew member 🖤
Hey there! Well Happy Christmas and New Year crew. I kind of let those ones slip by this time round. Here’s a pic of my dinner tonight to remind you that dieting culture doesn’t need to be part of your 2023 goals.
Hey Crew. Last week for your orders to go in for repeated scripts. So check your supplies and make sure you’ve got enough to get you through the holiday period.
If you eat with people who eat well, you’ll find it easier to eat healthier too. Eating with others can make life more enjoyable. Eat mindfully, early in the day and foods without labels. Plus you can model healthy eating behaviours for your family and friends.
Time restricted eating is changing your eating window to a shorter period of time, by doing this we can limit our total calorie intake, support digestion and lay a foundation for our internal body clock. Check out my latest blog on this and for nutritional consultation regarding time restricted eating give me a call.
I’m definitely not the baker in my household but occasionally I experiment with what’s in the cupboard and come out with something great. Today was that day 🙌
